Education:

Must have a four-year degree with technical basis; Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or engineering technology, science, or computer science or an Associate Degree in an engineering discipline, science or computer science with more than 8 years

of industrial or manufacturing work experience with drawing documentation, CAD software or engineering services consulting.



Experience:

Technical documentation and engineering. Drawing content evaluation are critical skills for this position. Knowledge and demonstrated application of statistical and continuous improvement tools and methodologies. Writing/revising technical specifications. Practical

experience with electrical design, construction, installation of electrical service, maintenance/troubleshooting electrical circuits/components.



Job Description

Position Summary:

This position performs as a documentation resource for the Plant and exists to provide direction to project, process and maintenance of Plant assets, in a manner that provides for the continual improvement of the Plants relative competitive position in the

industry.


Major Responsibilities

Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all Plant documentation systems. Maintain Logan record drawing documentation, create new drawings, modify/update, revise/void drawings in Logan Database, review submitted drawings, and maintain Logan drawing standards,

format, and presentation quality/consistency. Provides advice and assistance to Unit Manager, Engineering/Reliability Leader, Team Leaders, Engineers and Technicians to ensure continual improvement of processes and safety environment. Provides assistance for

Document Control. Develops plans and manage/coordinate projects that involve outside contractors and vendors. Develops and implements training programs that support individual and Team improvement based on demonstrated performance.



Essential Physical, Sensory, and Mental Requirements

Will sit 3, stand 3 and walk 2 hours daily. May stoop, climb, kneel and use ladders or stairs daily. Will lift no more than 50 lbs. Use computer & telephone daily. Works on unlevel, unstable, slippery surfaces. Good vision, hearing & speaking abilities necessary.

Must read, write, measure, draw conclusions, create methods, develop plans, direct & evaluate others and do difficult math. Will work indoors at a desk, inside the manufacturing plant or in a control room daily. Chemicals, vibrations, extreme heat & cold,

dust, dirt, fumes and noise may be typical daily surroundings.


Position Accountabilities

Knowledge of Plant specifications and Plant drawing system, combined with team-based organizational management techniques provides uniqueness to this position.


Must provided assistance to staff, institute reliability methods, follow documentation activities and function as a Team member simultaneously.


40% of influence is based on expertise, while the remainder is based in interpersonal skills.


Must think independently in this position in order to assist in the development of the reliability processes necessary to carry the Plant beyond present capabilities.


Difficulty in problem solving in this position is often increased due to the necessary Team involvement in decisions that affect machine operation and the safety process.


Adaptation to change is often difficult due to the continually changing quality and safety environments as they relate to customer satisfaction.


Personal and procedural control in this position is limited to the consensus decision-making environment in which the incumbent must function.


This positions control affects the organizations ability to make production goals and meet customer expectations of quality and delivery.


This position will affect the organizations ability to remain ahead of the competition in the realm of technology and equipment.
